We conveniently offer connecting to Held Away accounts through integration with Plaid.
To access this feature within Atlas, navigate to Clients Tab > Held Away Accounts
This functionality allows adding Held Away accounts into Atlas which can also be viewed from the Client Portal.
We have recently added the ability to view a live connection (Green) with Plaid and the institution while also seeing if a Plaid integration has been disconnected (Red):
You may click on the red "Disconnected" button to resolve that specific account.
As this is a service included within Atlas, here are some important Notes regarding Held Away Accounts (through Plaid):
Billing is not supported for these accounts.
Balances are updated whenever the Custodian updates Plaid, and then Plaid updates us.
As a result, the balances could be delayed based on this.
A Green "Connected" account may show old balances as Plaid and the relevant institution may not be updating this feed as often as we would like. We are at the mercy of Plaid and the institution in this case and can not speed this process up.
It is not uncommon for balances to remain without an update for over a week.
