Updating Manual Account Holdings

Instructions on how to update your Manual Account Holdings balances

You can edit any outside account balances directly in Atlas.

Here is the required information:

  • Ending Balance - The desired ending balance for the provided account.

  • As of Date - Enter the date for which the update applies.

    • Future dates are not supported, the latest date available is today

    • For example if you want an account to show $100,000 on 9/30/2021, you should enter $100,000 as the Ending Balance and 9/30/2021 as the As of Date.

Optional information:

  • Deposits or Withdrawals - If any deposits or withdrawals took place in the account, you can enter those here.

    • Transfers will post on the as-of-date provided on the previous screen. If there were no transfers, you can skip this screen and any change in the account value will be assumed as change in market value.

Updating Your Manual Holdings Account

The Manual Account tab can be located by going into Clients at the top of the screen, then Manual Accounts on the top menu

Here you will see any accounts you previously entered, you will also see any Manual Accounts that were managed via Support previously.

To add a new balance, income and/or withdrawal, you click the Pencil icon

A window will pop-up

  • Security Symbol - The symbol will auto-populate if you have entered one before.

  • Account Number - The account number will auto-populate

When you are done, click Next

  • Ending Balance - The desired ending balance for the provided account.

  • As of Date - Enter the date for which the update applies.

    • Future dates are not supported, the latest date available is today

    • For example if you want an account to show $100,000 on 9/30/2021, you should enter $100,000 as the Ending Balance and 9/30/2021 as the As of Date.

  • Deposits or Withdrawals - If any deposits or withdrawals took place in the account, you can enter those here.

    • Transfers will post on the as-of-date provided on the previous screen. If there were no transfers, you can skip this screen and any change in the account value will be assumed as change in market value.

Once you have entered all required information and any relevant security, click Confirm to finalize your entry.

What is next?

You will receive a confirmation in Atlas, the account balance should be available within 15-minutes. You can check Manual Accounts tab, the updates are complete once the balance is updated to the new value.
