Benchmarks give you and your clients a point of reference to which you can compare their account performance. Atlas houses about 75 commonly used indexes to construct benchmarks, such as S&P 500 Total Returns, MSCI Emerging Markets, etc. However we have tens of thousands available upon request.

Atlas is capable of displaying single index benchmarks as well as blended benchmarks that allow you to match the composition of the account.

Create a Benchmark

To create a benchmark, navigate to Benchmarks from the Reporting Settings page.

In the upper right corner click Create. First, type a name of your choosing to identify this benchmark.

Choose the index or fund you wish to compose your benchmark by typing the name of the index or fund under Add Index. Click save.

Once a benchmark has been created, can also edit or delete your benchmarks.

From the Edit Benchmark window, you can choose the weight the index will have in this benchmark. Under weight, select the percent of the benchmark you want this index or fund to make up. For example, if you want to only track the S&P 500, set the percent to 100% and click save.

If you would like to create a blended benchmark, simply add more indices and specify the percentage weight for each index.

Assign Benchmarks

After Creating a benchmark, you must specify which Account(s) will show this benchmark on their reports.

From the Clients page, select the Accounts you'd like to assign and hit Actions → Actions → Bulk Assign → Benchmarks

To assign multiple Households to a particular benchmark, navigate to Households view and follow the same steps as above.
