You may view the details of a specific billing report by clicking the purple Billing Report date in the left column or Details in the far right column. This will open a new page laying out the details of the report.

Please see Table Features to learn best practices for filtering and sorting the tables in your billing report (and all tables in Atlas). To adjust the view here you can also drag column headers to the top to group the data by that input

Note: These tables can be easily exported to excel using the down arrow icon on the right side just above the columns.

Billing Details Summary

This snapshot will highlight the total amount debited and other firm wide details. You'll also be alerted if any accounts do not have sufficient cash to remit payment or if any accounts are considered low on cash. Low cash alerts will trigger if the debited fee is greater than 35% of the cash balance or if the remaining balance will be less than $25 after the debited fee is applied.

By Account

This view will provide account level details like account name, number, custodian, open date, billing group, and fee structure. It will provide the total days of the period that the account was billed on, and break out specific billing details for each account, such as how much was debited, the amount of cash in the account on the report date, the account's billable balance, any split payouts, the effective rate, and how much was billed - either directly or through the custodian.

Effective Rate % = Fee / Account Valuation

  • Per Period takes into account the period (Quarterly, Daily, etc.)

    • Example: a $100,000 account has a quarterly fee of $250 = 0.25% Effective Rate per (quarter) period

  • Per Annum calculates for an annual rate

    • Example: a $100,000 account has a 1.00% Flat Rate Fee = 1.00% Effective Rate per annum

Before uploading the custodian files, use this view to check the available cash in the accounts to ensure there is a high enough balance to pay the fee. Atlas color codes the Balance column to make this easy for you: green means there is sufficient cash in the account, yellow means there will be little cash left after paying the fee, and red means there is insufficient cash to pay the fee.
