Atlas classifies securities by default as Equity, Fixed Income or Cash based on data we receive from our vendor ICE. However, you can create classifications to exactly match the language in your IPS.

To reclassify assets, navigate to Asset Classifications from the Reporting Settings page.

First, you need to create the new asset classifications (e.g. Technology, International Equity, Municipal Bonds). Click the Edit button to edit classifications. Type in the name of this new classification and click Add.

Next, select the securities you wish to classify using the checkboxes in the left column and click Classify As in the upper right corner. Select the classification you wish to assign to these assets and you will then see the updates made in the table.

When reviewing securities in the table, it helps to filter the Managed column to Yes - this will filter the table down to only the securities owned by one of your portfolios.

If you have a lot of securities that you would like to update, feel free to email support@bridgeft.com and we can help make bulk updates on our end.
